Policy Advisor and public speaker born in April 1991 in Aleppo city. After the Syrian civil war he moved to Lebanon, he lived there for around a year then he moved to Turkey for another year and now he is living and doing his Master’s degree in Architecture in Évora, Portugal since 2014.
Nour has done various conferences in Portugal and Europe relating to integration process of immigrants and refugees, Human Rights, peace and war, cross culture and religious dialogue and life and happiness. Nour has given speeches at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on migration panels. In Brussels once again at the European Parliament in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs representing the European youth forum. He contributed ideas regarding the new asylum law, Dublin Regulation, Migration and Integration processes in Europe.
In November 2017 he delivered his first TEDx talk about Stereotype during TEDxPorto Women. Most recently he was chosen to be member of the European Migrant Advisory Board (Representing Portugal) on the European and local levels. The board is one of the actions plan of the partnership of the Urban Agenda for the European Union.
In the presence of several integration policies failing to hit the mark, there is an undeniable need to better manage the involvement of immigrants and refugees in policy-making processes. For this purpose, the Partnership on Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees has established the European Migrant Advisory Board (EMAB) as one of its actions.
Nour as well spends a lot of time in volunteering work at Erasmus Student Network, Red Cross, Caritas and more organisations.
